Drap-Art Montevideo is an event open to the general public that brings together a wide variety of activities around recycling, such as an artistic exhibition, a sustainable gastronomic fair, slow-fashion fashion shows, recycling workshops, design market, entertainment, music, lectures, a 24-hour marathon of live creation competition where artists and designers create works of art with waste materials, etc. The vast majority of these activities are free, since  Drap-Art is a non profit organization.

Currently, Drap-Art is celebrated annually in several cities around the world and in Uruguay it was held for the second time running, in June 2017, hoping to surpass even more its first edition held in April 2016 in the Atrio de la Intendencia de Montevideo, which knew to receive more than 20,000 visitors and more than 100 national and international artists, including musicians, workshops, designers, speakers and filmmakers.
