Upcycling has become a fashionable concept. To take an object and transform it, to give it more value. With this objective, the Drap-Art Upcycling Contest was born, in collaboration with the Association of friends and merchants of Plaza Real, which with this initiative gives voice to the commitment of its associates to sustainability and culture.

Like having a coffee on a terrace, which in these times has become a rare luxury.

Our finalist artists, selected by Xavi Capmany (Director Massana), Tanja Grass (President Drap-Art), Cristina Sanpere (Director Fundació Setba), Teresa Caja (President Associació Comerciants Carrer Avinyó), Jasmin Waschl (Fousion Gallery), were already announced on the 19th December at plaza Real, in the framework of Drap-Art’20 activities that can be seen if you click here.

In this way they pay hommage to the venues of the plaza, brave fighters of these modern times.

The finalists exhibition will be situated in Sala Perill with pieces of: Yoshihito Suzuki, Artur Caracartró, Jordi Bofill Cunillera, Claudio Delgado, Nuria Bonet, Héctor Escudero aka Hache Creativa, Ludovica Rossi, Enric Ortega Rivera, Sol Courreges, Jasmina Llobet Sarria, Esther Navarro, Lucido Petrillo.

The winners will be chosen by popular vote, which for reasons beyond our will, has been prolonged until the 4th of January, and the winners will be announced on the 5th of Jannuary.
