Ocean Sole (Nairobi, Kenya)
The non-profit organisation Ocean Sole of Kenya, recycles the flip flops it collects on the beaches and employs artists and artisans who turn them into colourful artistic and functional products and at the same time create a visual awareness of the problem of pollution of our seas, in addition creates more than 800 jobs in a country that has 40% unemployment.

All Ocean Sole products are made from recycled flip flops that are collected on Kenya’s beaches, waterways and landfills. The sculptures are hand-carved by local artisans and have a unique color combination, so it is very likely that the design and color will differ slightly from the piece shown in the photograph.
The legs have wire so they can be adjusted in various positions.
