DRAP-ART USA 2016

DRAP-ART PITTSBURGH

MAIN EXHIBITION OF Re:NEW FESTIVAL
From September 9 to October 9, 2016
WITNERGARDEN, PPG PLACE

Experience

In 2016, Drap-Art had its North American debut in Pittsburgh, where it participated in the Re:NEW Festival, a month of celebration of creative recycling, transformation and sustainability, with a major international exhibition produced by Drap-Art, with more than 60 Catalan, Spanish, European, American and Chinese artists as the main axis, located in the glass space of more than 3000m2 of the Wintergarden PPG Place, built by architect Philip Johnson.

It was made possible by an intersectoral group of significant civic leaders in the resurgence of the city: Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council, Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership, The Andy Warhol Museum, Carnegie Museum of Art, Sustainable Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Resource Council, Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, VisitPITTSBURGH, and the Allegheny Community Development Conference. It was the birth of an ongoing collaboration with the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust and the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership.
