MONTENEGRO 1997

In 1997, at the second edition of the Barcelona Creation and Recycling Marathon, the Prince of Montenegro visited us and invited us to develop a project at the Biennial of Cetinje, the former capital of Montenegro, recycling material from war. The Recykl Art Fest in Montenegro was conceived and coordinated by Lufe Lopes with the idea of ​​creating an exchange between Montenegrin and Barcelona artists, and of creating everyday and colorful objects to invoke a return to normalcy, after the wars in the Balkans. This workshop marked us deeply and started a reflection on war, which inspired the Israel workshop and the Evil Empire exhibition, accompanied by a book of the same name with photographs of the experience by Consuelo Bautista.
